Hero is a bear I made at Build-A-Bear Workshop and sent to Iraq to serve as the mascot of the Safety Office at Balad Air Base.  Hero has become very popular with the soldiers in Iraq and they often send me photos of Hero's Adventures in Iraq.  Hero has been in Iraq for two years now and plans to stay in Iraq with the soldiers until they all come back home.  Please enjoy the photos of Hero being a soldier and feel free to use them to help children better understand what it is like to be a soldier in a more kid friendly way.  The PowerPoint presentation of The Adventures of Hero once offered is currently unavailable but Bailey is hoping she might soon have it published as a book so she can help more kids feel a little better!
